Red Wing Rotary Club


Established in 1986, the Red Wing Rotary Club gathers each Tuesday at Noon for lunch, fellowship, and service.

Having just celebrated the 20th Anniversary of our charter, we have another exciting Rotary year in store with a number of local and international projects and events that we oversee such as the Red Wing River City Days Parade, kids fishing contests, Red Wing Band Classic, Service Above Self Awards honoring local civic employees, high school and technical college scholarships, sponsoring of incoming and outgoing exchange students, and donating to provide clean water in Haiti.

Purpose of Rotary


Rotary is an organization of business and professional men and women united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build good will and peace in the world.

Over 1.2 million service-minded business and professional people belong to more than 29,000 Rotary Clubs in 163 countries. These purpose of Rotary is accomplished by Youth Exchange, Ambassadorial Scholarships, Group Study Exchanges, International Fellowships, World Community Service Projects, and Global Projects.

The Object of Rotary

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

First: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

Second: High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

Third: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

Fourth: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
