Mission Statement

The mission of Quillayute Valley School District, in partnership with the community, is to respect and meet the diverse needs of all individuals in a learner-centered environment. Use of effective technology and successful teaching strategies will result in students with positive self-esteem, an appreciation for a lifetime of learning and the ability to become competent, productive citizens.

Vision Statement

-QVSD recognizes and meets the individual needs of each person through programs which promote the development of self-esteem, cooperation and vision. This expanded view of school will result in well-educated, productive and socially responsible citizens who contribute positively to our community and to the world.

-QVSD, in partnership with the private and public sectors, will provide programs that prepare students for employment and a lifetime of learning.

-QVSD uses technology to improve capabilities and increase production for all learners.

-QVSD facilities provide a safe, child-centered environment to meet the needs of the students and the community. Facilities are designed, furnished and decorated to stimulate quality teaching and learning. The facilities are designed with adequate flexibility to meet varied needs and receive maximum, efficient use.

-Schools should inspire students to develop life-long learning skills, problem solving abilities, and social and civic responsibility.

-Local communities should have the freedom to manage their own schools.

-Students should be proud of their schools and WANT to be there.

-Staff believes that they can enable student learning.

-Schools welcome and respect parental viewpoints, rights, and responsibilities.
