History:

Potter Valley Bible Church has been in the process of replacing the current building for almost 20 years. Currently we have plans that are being engineered by a fellow servant of Christ as a gift to the church. We have raised $80,000 since beginning our fund raiser last year. There is still a long way to go before we are able to begin but Lord willing we will break ground in the spring of 2008. We as a church are looking for support in many ways. We need to be lifted up in prayer for direction and leadership, for preparation for this event, and also the remaining amount of money that the Church is still needing to begin this event, most importantly we desire to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because without Christ all that we do is in vain.

The Current state of our church is dire. We are reminded of the need for a new building soon when we gaze at the once motel/barn/parsonage. Our current church has served well more years than it should have. The original building was a stage coach motel from the turn of the century or so. In the 50’s there was a shop/barn that was going to be torn down, but thanks to some men that were creative they hauled the barn from the mountain it was on and attached it to the motel. There have been many additions and repairs trying to keep the little church functioning. But finally in the 80’s the leaders decided to pursue a replacement building.

The new proposed building, currently being engineered, represents years of bloodshed and tears. This Building resembles that of a traditional barn, but utilizing new technology to aid worship and facilitate ministry. The church will have a large sanctuary and 7 other classrooms, a full kitchen and a library upstairs. Our goal is simple; bring glory to Jesus Christ through worshiping, praying, preaching and teaching the Word of God contained within the Bible, and ministering to the needs of the community and the body physically and spiritually.
