Pine Elementary School is located in a rural area of Michigan City. Pine School was built in 1949.There have been three additions and one renovation, creating five levels throughout the school; thus access to almost any area within the school involves stairs.


Pine's Beliefs:
All children can learn in their own ways and at their own pace.
Pine School is responsible for providing each child with the opportunity to develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
Children will learn to think, explore and discover for themselves. While treating each child as an individual, Pine's staff uses the state standards in implementing the curriculum.
Learning will become meaningful and developmental for Pine's students.
Pine's children will become concerned and caring citizens in an ever-changing world.
