Pine Bush Community Band, Inc. is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization.

Its purpose is:

- To educate student, amateur and professional musicians, and to provide them the opportunity to improve and/or maintain their musical performing skills, both individually and as an ensemble.

- To educate the community and provide cultural enrichment through performances of many styles of music, including patriotic, classics arranged for band, show music and holiday selections appropriate to the season.

- To preserve the tradition of band music in the community.

- To promote the tradition of community gatherings and music appreciation through series of public band concerts.

In 1982, a small group of local musicians formed the Pine Bush Community Band. The band performed Free Public Concerts in our area. Today, under the direction of Thomas J. Fadden, the tradition continues, and the small group has grown to a full concert band.

Rehearsals are held weekly, on Mondays, at the Town of Crawford Town Hall located on NYS Route 302 in Pine Bush (across from Pine Bush High School). The band performs about twelve to fourteen concerts, parades and other events each year. No auditions are required and membership is free!

PBCB is a family, dedicated to providing music to the public. We are funded in large part by the Towns of Crawford in Orange County and Wawarsing in Ulster County. Our concert season begins on Memorial Day and our performances continue on Flag Day, July 4th, throughout the summer and into the holiday season in Bullville, Ellenville, Middletown, Mount Hope, Pine Bush and Walden.
