PSC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, now in our fifth year of FREE performances. The Pella Shakespeare Company exists to bring fresh, fun, simple and well-spoken theatre to the public of Pella and its surrounding communities. Our goal is to educate as we entertain multi-generational audiences. We believe that exposure to literature and art enhances the quality of life within our community and engages everyone in a larger world view. Utilizing classical and important works, community and student actors, quality production values and unusual performance spaces within the park system, PSC Adult & Youth Troupes perform for more than 1400 audience members each year. 

PSC grew out of a class project at Central College and generates cooperation between the local community theatres, local colleges, the Community Center, Parks and Recreation, the Corps of Engineers, DNR, the Pella Chamber of Commerce, and now Des Moines’ Theatre..For a Change.
