Our Mission

Since 2008, the mission of OUTnorthLa is to recognize the important contributions that people of underrepresented gender and sexual identities have made to our culture and history.

Our Objectives:
 
- Offer a venue for high-quality LGBTQ+ films and filmmakers

- Celebrate the contributions the LGBTQ+ community has made to our culture

- Educate the general public and raise awareness of LGBTQ+ concerns

- Foster positive change in the political arena

- Investigate the history of LGBTQ+ people in film

- Counteract stereotypes with valid, meaningful, and diverse portrayals of LGBTQ+ people
