Nu-Beginning Farm is a teaching homestead located in beautiful Greenville, Virginia. We are a family owned and operated farm offering educational experiences to both a James Madison University internship along with any homesteader want-to-be. We are happy to share our knowledge and experience. Please contact us if you're interested in learning, our rates are based on the level of "expertise" required.

In addition to bedding plants, vegetable plants, herbs and fresh organically grown and chemical free vegetables in season, handmade soaps and bath salts and Va's Finest jams, Nu-Beginning Farm also makes home baked goodies.

The 2011 season is under way with several "Early-Bird" sign ups already committed. Starting our third CSA season, this year will offer large and small shares, all of which include eggs and fruit (in season) in the base price!! We are proud to team up with Mountain View Farm and Flower Fields to offer a Dairy Share and Flower Share this season for an additional fee. The dairy share will offer hand made cheeses and butter each drop. The flower share will offer a fresh bouquet of flowers each drop. Fresh produce in season, as well as bread, eggs, and jams offered as a-la-carte items. Nu-Beginning Farm will be offering 44 total shares in the Staunton, Virginia area beginning in the Spring of 2011. Applications will be accepted now through March 1, 2011. Please e-mail us for further information. The Large Share will contain 5-8 different vegetables plus eggs per drop. The Small Share will contain 3-5 different vegetables each drop, plus eggs once each month. An occasional "surprise" of hand made baked goodies may also appear as a "bonus" item. Recipies will be made available in order to help you better use the wonderful items you may not be familiar with. Drops will begin late May and run through the end of October, and will be every other week. Members can pick up their shares at one of two locations, for your convenience. You choose which one works better for you!
