Mission Statement

The Newhall School District believes that:

Education is a partnership between school, family, and community.

The instructional program and support services will provide all students access to a quality educational program.

All children can be successful and master California Content Standards and District Performance Standards.

Optimal learning takes place in a safe atmosphere of mutual respect for diversity and for the community.

Children who develop a love of learning gain a true sense of self worth and will become life-long learners and caring, responsible, and productive adults.

About Us

Comprised of ten elementary schools, the Newhall School District serves preschool and Kindergarten through sixth grade children who reside in the Newhall, Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, and Westridge areas of the Santa Clarita Valley. A demographic/data-based profile of the District and key indicators of success are found on the introductory pages of this plan. Vision statements for each of the major divisions of the District, along with goals, activities, and assessment strategies for each division are found on the pages following the introductory section. A plan for the next one (1) to three (3) years can be found in the goals for the divisions.

Goals, activities, and assessment of goals will be revisited annually and will involve representatives of all stakeholders in the District.
