About Us:
The Museum of the Great Plains offers permanent and temporary exhibits year round on a variety of subjects demonstrating Wichita County's rich pioneer heritage. The building itself is a wonderful example of native limestone construction. It was built as a WPA project in 1940 using stone quarried just north of the county.
