Mission Statement :

The mission of the Midland School District is to provide learning opportunities and an educational climate where individuals can strive to reach their fullest potential so as to become life-long learners and responsible citizens for the community.

Vision Statement :

Curriculum will challenge all students to meet rigorous academic standards and addresses important academic content and essential life skills.

Assessment will be an on-going practice containing both formative and summative components with results used to ensure quality learning and instruction.

Instructional strategies will reflect best practices, stimulate student engagement and accommodate individual differences, interests and abilities through differentiated instruction.

The school culture will support a commitment to maintain an emotionally and physically safe environment for all students and staff.

The school will encourage parents to monitor their child's academic performance and working collaboratively and positively with staff to maximize their child's educational experience.

Special education will be provided for those students who need additional supports to successfully learn the curriculum.

Faculty and staff will model the importance of life-long learning through a commitment to on-going and meaningful professional development based on student data.

The administration will provide resources, support, and monitor progress for learning.  Decisions will be collaborative and data driven with input from stakeholders.

There will be a commitment to a high level of mutual support, trust, and respect between all members of the learning community.  The local community will share and promote the vision and values of the school.

 All comprehensive improvement planning will use data to determine our strengths and weaknesses.  Individual and collective academic efforts will be promoted, recognized, and celebrated.
