Our Proud History
Since 1927, the B'nai B'rith Home and Hospital for the Aged in Memphis, Tennessee has made a unique contribution to its community, providing a warm, caring environment for the elderly within the Jewish tradition.
Over the years, the original home on North Tucker Street underwent a series of expansions and alterations in response to growing needs for a larger, more modern facility. But, advances in care came rapidly; it became increasingly difficult to modify the existing facility to incorporate modern enhancements. In order to take full advantage of science's new understanding of the aging process and increasingly complex medical and therapeutic technologies, the Home's directors purchased a parcel of land and laid the foundation for a new campus for geriatric services in 1989.
