The Town of McCandless owns and maintains a number of recreation areas and complexes. Potter Park, Councill Memorial Park and Memorial Park are designated passive recreation areas. Devlin Memorial Park, located behind the Town Hall; Lorraine G. Rogers Soccer Fields, Ingomar Road; Wall Memorial Park, Sloop and Rochester Roads; Vestal Park, Perry Highway near Pine Creek Road, and the Vincentian Recreation Complex, Peebles Road, are all parks, either owned or maintained by the Town, that offer active recreation. Over 100 acres of land has also been received or purchased by the Town, which it keeps as open space.
