Our History: Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic School has a rich and storied history in the Catholic Faith. St. Martin parish with the help of the School Sisters of Notre Dame opened its doors to serve the Rogers' community in August of 1950.

The classes were held in the church hall, and the sisters lived in what is now the back kitchen until the new school building and convent were officially opened on November 23, 1950. Candidate Theresa Etringer taught grades 1-3 and music. Sister M Antonia taught grades 4-5 and was also the principal. Sister Francis Marie taught grades 6, 7, and 8.

The school began with 72 students enrolled in grades 1 through 8. In the fall of 1951, 9th grade was added to the school, and enrollment jumped to 112. Enrollment at the school remained steady until it reached 178 in the fall of 1965, a total not surpassed until the fall of 2003 with 185 students enrolled.

Kindergarten classes began September 1989 with preschool being established the following year. The Minnesota Non-public School Accrediting Association has accredited the school since 1990.

Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic School now consists of 16 full and part time staff members with an average of 13 years experience dedicated to educating each student spiritually, academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.
