Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce

217 S Adams St.
765-664-5107

The development of a chamber of commerce to promote business and a healthy economic climate was inevitable. Since the 1930's and 1940's the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce and its forebearers have significantly made an impact in Marion and all of Grant County for business.
The United States Chamber of Commerce and the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce recognize the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce for its excellent business involvement. Marion recently received the Community of the Year Award from the state Chamber.

A twenty-one-member board of directors serves the nearly 500 members in guiding the Chamber in meeting its goals. A professional staff assists some 400 volunteers on committees and task forces represented in six divisions. These divisions provide support to each member and provide opportunities for involvement and service to the community. The Governmental Affairs division is also very active. This division provides business leaders the opportunities to network with local, state and national legislators and discuss issues of importance to the Grant County business and professional community. By establishing this communication, local business leaders can provide the necessary input to legislators as they develop legislation, which affects the economic welfare of the Grant County community. It also provides legislators a forum to discuss all of the relevant business issues for better understanding. And better understanding leads to better decisions.
