Participants may walk or run though a 5K or 1-mile course along the beach. Registration, available online, is $25 for adults or $35 for one adult and up to four children. Two adults and up to four children is $50. Those who register before April 24 will receive an event T-shirt. All proceeds benefit United Way of Manatee County.

Registration on the day of the event will begin at 8 a.m., and the walk/run will begin at 9 a.m. After the walk, there will be children's games and activities.

"The Manatee Miles Sea Turtle Stoll is an excellent example of the community coming together to help our community help itself," said Philip Brown, President of United Way of Manatee. "Volunteers from Manatee County Government have given their time and efforts to raise funds and awareness for United Way and in doing so are helping to create more opportunities for all of our neighbors to succeed."
