Long Island City CSA

36-49 11th Street
212-825-0028

In partnership with The New York City Coalition Against Hunger (NYCCAH), a Community Supported Agriculture project has been launched in Long Island City, Queens as a comprehensive solution to a variety of shortcomings in the neighborhood food structure. This lack of food availability, coupled with high prices and nutrition inadequacies lead to an unsustainable food system.

Our CSA will tackle food affordability issues by specifically targeting low-income families as members to offer them a variety of flexible payment options that are viable, as well as fair and appropriate for our farmer. We will build a greater sense of community through farm trips, potlucks, and the development of a CSA core group, all of which will connect neighbors with each other as well as to the farmers who grow their food.
