The Londontowne Symphony Orchestra was founded by the late Kathy Solano of Severna Park in 2002. Her dream was to create a regional classical symphony orchestra having wide appeal to the residents of Anne Arundel County. Since its inception, the orchestra has strived to provide its audiences with an array of symphonic repertoire that would continue to appeal to county residents and attract a variety of musical talent. The orchestra is composed of music teachers, college professors, student musicians, professional military musicians and highly qualified members of the community at large. The Londontowne Symphony Orchestra offers quality symphonic music in traditional settings, but also provides recitals and occasional light classical/pops concerts as well. The Londontowne Symphony was founded on the belief that Anne Arundel County has considerable musical talent and, that it should be represented to our communities. The Londontowne Symphony Orchestra has formed a partnership with the Anne Arundel Community College and Anne Arundel County High School music programs. Through this partnership we encourage skilled musicians to perform in regular scheduled concerts and for special performances throughout the season.
