By signing up for the Left Bower Farm CSA, you'll receive a box of organically grown vegetables every week all season long. In the early season, you might get baby salad greens, green onions and tender carrots. In the heat of summer, your CSA share will be brimming with fat heirloom tomatoes, spicy habanero peppers and pungent basil. In the Fall, you'll cut into sweet acorn squash and enjoy late broccoli and leeks. Everything will have been picked that same day to maximize flavor and freshness.

Left Bower Farm is a small family farm in Washington County, PA near the town of Avella. We specialize in a variety of seasonal, organically grown vegetables. 2011 will be our second season and we're excited to offer our produce through a CSA and every Thursday at the Main Street Farmer's Market in Washington, PA.

About the farmers:

Left Bower Farm is the latest adventure of Dave and Mandy Roos, food fanatics and newbie farmers.Dave is a Pittsburgh native and Mandy grew up on a farm in Idaho, where she learned that real food is grown by real people. With the help of their two (now three!) amazing kids, Dave and Mandy are dedicated to growing delicious, healthy, chemical-free vegetables for local Washington, PA families.
