We will be offering shares of fresh greens grown through the winter in our solar greenhouse. We will offer kale, Swiss chard, several kinds of lettuce and spinach, and other cold-tolerant and nutritious greens. Other offerings that we may have occasionally may include potatoes, green onions, fresh or dried herbs, and carrots. We also occasionally offer fresh eggs from pastured hens. We are asking for a financial committment the first week of September.

Lazy Bee Acres is a small family-owned, family-operated market garden that specializes in heirloom tomatoes, peppers, onions, potatoes, root crops, berries, and greens that are grown using organic, sustainable practices. We grow multiple varieties of each product to increase genetic diversity naturally and to produce many wonderful flavors and colors of each. Have you ever tried a blue potato? How about an orange tomato? They taste nothing like what you get from the supermarket! We believe in growing delicious, wholesome, nutritious food. We are in transitional status for Certified Naturally Grown certification and should achieve full status in 2008.

CSA shares for the 2007-2008 season are sold out, but contact us to see what surplus greens we have weekly during the winter, to be placed on a priority list for next season's CSA, or to be included on an e-mail update list for Farmers Market and CSA.
