Laingsburg Lions Club

117 Prospect Street

The Laingsburg Lions Club is a local chapter of Lions International, the largest community service organization with over 1,400,000 members and 44,500 clubs worldwide.

We are a community action organization that serves others at the local, state and national levels. We offer community-minded individuals the opportunity to join in good fellowship and to help their fellow man at a variety of levels.

At the state and national level, our organizations contribute to programs including: Leader Dogs for the Blind, Braille Transcribing, Radio Talking Book, Drug Awareness, Diabetes Awareness, Welcome Home for the Blind, and many others.

In our own community, we have built pavillions and picnic tables in and for our local park, installed a new park well, contributed to a fire truck filling station well, and have erected many fences for various athlete fields amongst other. A new greenhouse located at the Middle school has been completed. Our latest project nearing completion is the renovation and modernizaton of bathroom facilities at Bates Scout park. In general we try to provide service to the community wherever it is needed.

Our organization is open to all who wish to participate. We fund our programs through local money-raising events, the largest being the Spring Time Festival. All we ask of our fellow Lions is that they find their own niche in our organization where they can serve effectively. We are all limited by time and personal committments and only ask that you share with us the time you can provide.

Our motto is, "We Serve".
