251 Parkway Lane
540-745-6550

Mission:
The JBC uses the performing, applied, and communications arts to support positive development and well-being for people and communities through 21st century opportunities for learning, leisure, and information access in a holistic, ecological, developmental and proactive environment.

Vision:
The JBC envisions itself as a center to help people, individually and in community, lead more informed, self-directed, sustainable, and fulfilling lives through activities that integrate 21st century learning innovations, technologies and skills with arts-infused learning and leisure opportunities.

About the Center:
Founded in 2000, the JBC has a short and impressive history as an organization interested in exploring the arts as a positive force in people's lives. In the beginning, that exploration focused on the arts as a healing force. Recent strategic planning has propelled the JBC in a related but different and more proactive direction - a focus on the arts as a tool for development and well-being for people and communities. With developmental outcomes for individuals and communities as the guiding principle, the JBC has recently launched a new set of services that build upon the strengths of the region and the organization.
