MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of St. Joseph Parish School is to provide for the education of the whole child within the Catholic Christian tradition. Our ministry is to provide a well rounded curriculum in a caring, nurturing environment, which enables students to grow in love of God and neighbor. As reflected in our philosophy and school-wide goals, we strive to empower our students to live a Christian life, attain academic excellence and become responsible members of a global society and their Church as expressed through the traditions, teachings, philosophy and practices of the Roman Catholic Faith.

PHILOSOPHY :

St. Joseph Parish School, established in 1943, is an educational ministry of St. Joseph/St. Teresa Parish Auburn. We acknowledge that the task of educating children is primarily the responsibility of parents. Therefore, in partnership with parents and in support of the mission of the Diocese of Sacramento and our parish community, we strive to provide a Catholic environment, which promotes the spiritual, intellecutal, emotional, social and physical growth of each child. Through the experience of prayer and liturgy, and observance of multi-cultural religious experiences' student share in the work of building a Catholic Faith Community within the school environment. Likewise, they are given many opportunities to be creative and global thinkers, to develop moral values, and to grow in leadership roles in a safe and nurturing environment.
