About

In the fall of 1914, Miss Etta Louise Erickson was hired to teach the first classes at Jordan High School. There were four freshmen enrolled and three students who had previously attended high school. The existing grade school building was divided into two rooms with one side used for the elementary grades and the other side for the high school. Eventually, increased enrollment led to the construction of a new grade school building in 1930 and a new high school building and dormitory in 1936.
