Mission Statement:

The staff of Jeffersonville Elementary believes our mission is to provide a caring, effective school setting where every child develops a positive self-concept, a sense of personal worth and where members of our school community feel a strong sense of belonging.

We believe all children can learn and are worthy of our best efforts to provide a positive, disciplined environment. Our educational environment should be conducive to learning; where teachers have the opportunity to teach, and where all children have equal opportunities to learn the skills needed for future success.

We recognize that each child is unique with respect to abilities, values, goals, and learning styles. Our goal is to provide opportunities for each child to assume the responsibility for his/her learning and behavior. We accept the responsibility for the growth of students when they are in school and expect that parents and students will assume responsibilty for continued growth outside school. Increased responsibility brings increased involvement and achievement.

In providing for each child, we will take advantage of the expertise of each staff member, parent, and community member while maintaining open communication among all concerned. We encourage parents to become actively involved in the education of their children. It is our hope that through these cooperative efforts our children will become responsible, contributing members of society.
