Welcome to the Jefferson Township Middle School. Our school, which is located in northern Morris County, serves approximately 800 students in grades six through eight. The school is proud of the middle school model that has been established here. Students are heterogeneously placed in one of three academic teams in each grade level. Instruction is provided in the core courses of language arts, math, science, social studies, and health/physical education. In addition, students choose to take either Spanish or French for the three years that they are here. Course work is also provided in exploratory and elective classes including art, computer applications, family and consumer science, global issues, music, and STEM.  All of our, New Jersey certified, highly qualified, teachers meet regularly during team meetings and Professional Learning Communities to discuss and collaborate on data analysis, student growth, instructional strategies, and student recognition, among other items. We are also very proud of the opportunities that the school offers in the way of extra-curricular activities. A host of after school clubs run each year that meet students’ desires to take part in academic, artistic (fine and performing), athletic, and community service based programs.
