At Jefferson Parkway, we are committed to student success. We realize that this commitment requires a true partnership between the faculty and staff, the students, the parents, and the community. We hope that you share this commitment with us and that you will be an active participant in the education of our students.

We encourage you to talk about school and to read with your child every day. Find ways to use and reinforce the skills being taught at school in your daily activities. Provide praise and encouragement for their efforts and celebrate their successes, no matter how large or small. I also urge you to become actively involved in the operation of the school. Volunteers are always welcome! If you can’t come to the school, contact your child’s teacher to see if there are things that you can do from home. Mentors for students are always in short supply, so if you are willing to take on this type of commitment, we will help you get the required training to get you started. Your active participation in our PTO is extremely important. This is a wonderful organization dedicated to helping our school. Please become involved with it in every way you can.

In order to provide the best education possible for our students, we have developed a schedule that maximizes the time available for instruction. Instruction begins at 8:00 and ends at 2:30. It is important that students are present and prepared every day. Working together on this, we can ensure your child the opportunity for a quality education.
