About Us:

Jasmin Stair is owner and trainer at Jasmin Stair Stables in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Jasmin specializes in hunters, jumpers, and equitation and believes that a personalized, hands on approach to developing the equine athlete and confident, capable riders is paramount. JSS is a boutique style program that offers a supportive environment to help clients reach and surpass their goals.

Jasmin Stair grew up in Del Mar, California and has been a familiar face in the show ring since she was young. She started riding at an early age and never stopped. Her passion for the sport, dedication, hard work and love of horses has brought her to where she is today.

As a young rider, Jasmin knew she wanted to be a trainer and professional rider after her junior years came to an end. During her junior career, Jasmin focused on the equitation ring and was a student of Karen Healy. Riding with Karen taught Jasmin that discipline, organization and hardwork has its rewards. In her quest to excel not only in riding, but in her overall knowledge in horse care and management, Jasmin moved to the East Coast for two years where she competed in Hunters, Equitation and Jumpers. Jasmin was asked to be a working student for Ken Berkley and Gary Zook at Rivers Edge Farm in New Jersey. Jasmin took the opportunity to ride everything she could. She gained significant hands on experience with every aspect of horse care, competing and management. She was also under the instruction of Missy Clark in the equitation ring, and one of Jasmin’s biggest career highlights was winning the Zone 10 ASPCA Maclay regional finals in 2000.

Jasmin currently competes around the greater San Diego and Los Angeles areas. Jasmin provides hands-on care for all of the horses with which she works, and her attention to detail, not only to her students, but to her horse’s overall care, is of absolute importance to her. Jasmin’s utmost goal is to guide her students towards the confidence, skills and foundation in their riding that they need to help them reach their individual goals, as well as the goals of their horses. Jasmin believes that a barn needs to be built around good horsemanship, and from there success will be found. Her teaching style is based on safety first for horse and rider, while also emphasizing the overall management of the equine athlete. You can only move forward with your goals and riding skills with a happy and willing horse.
