• Newsletter – published quarterly. Sixteen pages chocked full of family history for Ionia County.

• Cemetery projects – Updating and recording cemetery records through out the county. Sebewa twp and North Plains cemetery completed and published.
• Preserving Family History - Published two books and working on the third.
• Library Collection – opened July 30, 2005
• Research coordinator – available to assist with those “brick walls”
• Ionia County Rural Schools newsletter– Published 3 times a year.
• World War II book project – New project for 2006.
• Education – We provide a guest speaker each month to teach members and attendees how to do a better job with their research project. We also teach beginning genealogy classes, and tips on using computer programs for genealogy.
• Field Trips – Several trips are arranged through out the year.
• Community Involvement – Our society has been at events such as Ionia County Women’s Festival, Depot Day in Lake Odessa, Christmas ‘Round the Town, Eaton County Seminars, Festival of Tables
• First Families of Ionia County Society
• Items for sale of genealogical interest.

Meetings are open to the public, free of charge, the 2nd Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m.  Closed in December.  Refreshments served.  Location is the Lake Odessa Area Historical Society Freight Station Museum, 1117 Emerson Street, Lake Odessa.
