IORG (Rainbow Girls) is a non-profit fraternal youth service organization for girls between the ages of 8-20 founded in 1922. Rainbow provides an environment where the girls gain self-confidence and self-respect while practicing service to the community.  Rainbow offers scholarships for college, opportunities to perform community service, and looks great on job and college applications.  Rainbow Girls learn leadership skills, public speaking, service to the community, patriotism to our country and respect for all.  It is not a religion, cult or secret order, nor is it connected with any other group using “rainbow” in their name or logo. Rainbow is a character building service organization that is open to all girls regardless of their religious belief.  IORG has an active membership of 275,000 girls worldwide.

Locally there are groups that meet in Folsom, Elk Grove, Placerville and Carmichael.  These girls are enthusiastic, and have lots of fun together.  This organization provides friends for life.
