Patient care volunteers are needed to help with end-of-life patients,and their care givers, by providing companionship, respite care(staying with a patient while the caregiver runs errands,) listening, reading, sharing, hobbies, or other talents, writing end of life stories, Compassionate activities that support direct patient care. Bereavement volunteers make phone calls to check on families and caregivers. Office opportunities to help with mailings, other clerical needs.
