Mission and Believes

Our mission is to be an expression and reflection of God's love in our community and world.

We believe that faithfulness has everything to do with action. We are a people called to do. We reach out to people in our area, inviting the unchurched and the seeking. Our worship involves traditional, contemporary and sometimes "off-the-wall" music and messages. We offer open communion, meaningful programming for young children, kids, youth, and adults; a welcoming atmosphere for young and old, those new to the faith, and those wondering about this "God thing." In addition to traditional forms of mission, we reach out to the community by providing hundreds of hand-sewn teddy bears to local area hospitals, conducting clothing drives to send clothing to five area missions, providing toys and gifts for needy children, caring for our environment through the "Adopt a Roadway" program, and sending youth and adults to work for Habitat for Humanity. Here, our faith is our action; our action is our faith. As 80-year-old Jack Gilmore stated, "What we can do is to bloom the very best we can in the place we are planted."
