The Rotary Club of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, is a member of Rotary International, the largest service organization in the world. The club was chartered on March 7, 1923, and currently has a membership of 75, representing a broad spectrum of vocations. 

The Rotary Club of Huntingdon (club 5279) is a member of Rotary District 7360. The district is made up of 77 Rotary Clubs and serves about 2,800 Rotarians located in three states. The northern part of the district covers central Pennsylvania, while the southern part includes clubs in Maryland and West Virginia.

The club is also a member of the Huntingdon County Business and Industry and the Huntingdon Area Chamber of Commerce. The club sponsors Huntingdon Interact, Rotary International's service club for young people ages 12 to 18.

Huntingdon Rotary members are active in many community events and activities. The club hosts two annual fundraising events. The Chicken BBQ, held on the last Wednesday in July serves over 1,500 customers and proceeds benefit the Huntingdon Community Center. The wine and cheese tasting event is held mid-fall or winter and proceeds benefit local and international projects. 

The club sponsors high school youth exchange. Students from abroad are hosted with local families and students locally have the opportunity to study abroad and be hosted by Rotarians in other countries. More information on the Eastern States Student Exchange website.

The Rotary club donates dictionaries to all Huntingdon County fourth graders and participates in many local, regional and international endeavors to benefit communities and promote peace.
