About Us
The Hingham Reformed Church is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, the oldest Protestant Church in America, established in New York in 1628. It came directly out of the Reformation when the Church was Reformed according to the Word of God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Savior for mankind from sin and eternal death, and subscribe to the great doctrines of the Apostles' Creed.

Membership in the Church may be had in two ways: (a) by confessing Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, (b) by transfer of church membership from some Evangelical Christian Church.

Faithful church attendance is required to maintain membership in the church because it is essential for spiritual growth and for a good witness as a Christian. We believe that tithing is a Scriptural injunction to be cheerfully followed by all Christians. We firmly believe that the study of God's Word is necessary for spiritual growth.
