The High Sierra Yelpers Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation was founded in 1998. The chapter holds an annual banquet on the first Saturday in June. We have also held numerous Jakes (kids), Women in the Outdoors (WITO) and Wheelin Sportsman Events. We are a member of the Oakhust Chamber of Commerce, Coarsegold Resource Conservation District, and work hard with California Department of Fish and Game and the U.S. Forest Service to accomplish many Conservation and Habitat Projects
