As an inclusive and intergenerational fellowship of faith, we seek to worship God faithfully and to reach out into God's world with the love of Christ. Worship is that weekly event around which all of our other ministries exist and is central to all that we do at Hermitage United Methodist Church.

Times are set apart each week for our focus on God - for praising God, for prayers of the community, for listening to that proclamation of the Word of God, and for emphasizing that God has revealed His very nature in the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ. We gather to sing, to share joys and concerns, to be challenged to faithful discipleship lives, to be strengthened for living every day.

Communion is an integral part of our worship, and it is offered monthly (firsts Sundays) at all three services.

Hermitage United Methodist Church offers three services each Sunday:

The first is a Praise and Worship Service, utilizing songs, choruses, and contemporary music, with praise teams leading us in the music and in our worship. The dress is more casual and the atmosphere is that of lifting praises to God, even as we may be dealing with difficult times and situations in life.

The second and third services each Sunday are Traditional Worship Services. At the third service, the Chancel Choir and organ help to lift us before God. We use written Prayers of Confession and Affirmations of Faith and offer a variety of musical styles in each of these worship opportunities.

We also offer other times of worship during the year, including Christmas Eve Communion and Candle Light Services, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter.
