Harrisburg Choral Society


The Harrisburg Choral Society, now entering its 111th season, is the oldest chorus in south-central Pennsylvania . Founded in 1895, its first Music Director was William Wallace Gilchrist—one of the founders of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Other founding members include some of Harrisburg 's most famous and influential residents like Calder, Boas, Kelker, Reily, and Rutherford.
