The purpose of the Chamber, established in 1986, is to promote the
advancement of  government, commerce, industry, agriculture and
tourism of Hampton County.  A special emphasis is also given to
educational interests. We strive to stimulate public sentiment as we
promote the general welfare and prosperity of Hampton County.

The Chamber is directed by an 11 member board of directors from
3 geographical areas of the county. Nine are elected by the
general membership, 2 are ex-officio elected by the
Hampton County Economic Development Commission.
