Green Heron Farm
To sign up for weekly deliveries of vegetables simply mail us a check for a minimum of $50. We will add you to our customer list and email you a weekly availability list that you can shop from. From this list you can choose items and quantites (e.g. 3 lbs carrots) of produce available for delivery that week. Emial your order; we take it from there and you wait for your order to be delivered to one of the pre-arranged drop off sites.
When you pick up your order we will include an invoice for the total of that order and indicate the balance of your deposit. Keep track of your balance so you can continue to receive uninterrupted deliveries.
The availability list is sent out every Saturday morning. You have all weekend to decide what you want to eat for the next week.
Green Heron Farm is located in South Central Pennsylvania, between the Tuscarora and Allegheny mountain ranges. Since 1984 we have been growing and selling organic produce, both locally in Huntingdon County and in the Washington DC area. We grow approximately 5 acres of vegetables, flowers, herbs and berries on our tiny 11 acre farm. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, and specialize in greens, herbs, garlic, berries and flowers.
We are members of Tuscarora Organic Growers Cooperative and much of our produce goes to Washington/Baltimore area restaurants and retail stores. You can also get our produce at the Huntingdon Farmer's Market or set up a wholesale account to order directly from our weekly selection. We also offer a year round subscription service in Huntingdon and State College.
