Objective :

The purpose and objective of this organization is to stimulate, promote, preserve, and encourage an interest in local history and genealogy, past and present; to engage in research; to collect documents, relics, artifacts, and objects of historical significance and value.

The Greater Chamber of Commerce is the top Chamber in South Carolina, based on membership per capita, and it's still growing. Membership has more than doubled in the last five years - a sign of the broad based community support and interest in economic development and community improvement.

This organization is dedicated to coordinating the efforts of commerce, industry and the professions to improve the business climate by promoting the assets of our community, which are many. Our ongoing objectives are designed to advance the progress of our community and improve quality of life through direct involvement in community problem solving through a positive commitment.
