We insure that our CSA members get a fair share of premium beef cuts and hamburger as well as whole roaster chicken, (chicken may be substituted for duck or guinea fowl based on availability) Pork will be available in bacon and sausage. Turkeys will be available for shareholders to purchase Tuesday before Thanksgiving at $4.75/lb. Average weight 20lbs.

Grass Roots Farm is owned and operated by the huband and wife team, Tom Bohan and Kristin Bohan. With their three children they practice holistic and sustainable practices to produce grass fed beef, pastured chicken, turkey, Moulard duck (the most excellent table duck!) and pork (offered as bacon and sausage).

The connections between the sun, soil, plants and livestock are nurtured and cultivated to improve the quality, nutritional value, and diversity of local food production. Our farm strives to improve the soil and the nutitional value of pastures by using rotational grazing to maximize feed value while building soil fertility. The emphasis is on agricultural practices that respect and value the natural rhythms of livestock while sustaining and improving natural resources.
