GFWC Taunton Raynham Junior Woman's Club

Our Mission:

The GFWC Taunton and Raynham Juniors is a community service organization that is part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.  Our members support the arts and the preservation of our natural resources, promote education, encourage healthy lifestyles, stress civic involvement, and work toward world peace.

Our History:

Our club was founded in 1950 as The Junior Woman's Club of Taunton. Then, in 1993 the club changed it's name to The Junior Woman's Club of Taunton and Raynham. Because we wanted to exhibit our connection to the General Federation of Women's Clubs, we once again changed our name to GFWC Taunton and Raynham Juniors. Since members wanted to be recognized as a women's club, we publicize ourselves as the GFWC Taunton Junior Woman's Club.  However, throughout the years, our club has continued on it's original mission and has included members from any surrounding town that does not have a GFWC Junior Club.

When and Where We Meet:

Our club meets the first Monday of every month, January through May and September through December (When a holiday falls on the first Monday, we meet on the second Monday) at 7 p.m.  All meetings are held in the Silver Platter Restaurant at Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School, 940 County Street, Taunton, MA.
