About Us:

Garrard County School System serves approximately 2500 students in Pre-K through twelfth grade. The three elementary schools are high-performing institutions preparing our students in grades Pre-K through five to enter middle school with strong basic skills and a broad knowledge of the state and national standards in core academic areas. Camp Dick Robinson Elementary is located in the northern end of Garrard County on US 27. Lancaster Elementary School is located within Lancaster city limits and Paint Lick Elementary School is located on Highway 52 East.

Garrard Middle School (grades 6-8) is located in Lancaster. The school is dedicated to the principles of adolescent education, with two teams per grade level and outstanding band, chorus and athletic programs. There are multiple opportunities for students to explore both academic and extra-curricular programs and clubs. The school also operates the ROAR program which is a grant-based after-school academic and enrichment support program for all interested students.

Garrard County High School (grades 9-12) is located outside Lancaster on Industry Road. The state-of-the-art building was completed in 2010. There is a dedicated focus on learning through technology and preparing all students to be college and career ready upon graduation. Students can choose career paths in technology, agribusiness, consumerism, vocational studies and many other areas. Dual credit college courses are offered as well as opportunities to graduate with advanced placement credits. The school has an award-winning band program and an athletic program that enhances the school and community pride in our students and their accomplishments.

All schools operate with the district’s vision statement “Expect the Best” which guides all decisions and planning. The school system is a student-centered organization with the mission to “provide all students an education which enables them to be successful, productive citizens.” Come learn and grow with us!
