Friends of the Family Home Health Care is a Toledo area home health care company which offers a variety of at home healthcare services, allowing your loved ones to remain at home in their most comfortable environment. We offer in-home and in-facility services, which include both medical and non-medical care specifically intended for seniors and elderly individuals.

Friends of the Family is one of the only home health care services that provides one hour of service when requested, and that guarantee all of our shifts 100%. Hourly to 24-hour care is available, as well as check-in/monitoring, post-operative care, transportation, light housekeeping, meal preparation and companionship. We specialize in Dementia and Alzheimer's care, and will work with any type of mental or cognitive impairment to ensure comfort and quality of life for your loved one.

Friends of the Family began in August 2006, when the son of an elder who had been neglected in her nursing facility sought out to provide compassionate care to Toledo area elders like his mother. With a focus on high quality care provided in the comfort of one's own home, Friends of the Family rapidly grew to include a number of at home nursing services, including senior transportation, companion care and assistance with daily living activities. Current owner Rebekah LaFontaine, a pastor's wife and a proven advocate for the senior community, took over management and operations of Friends of the Family in 2012. She has experience in every aspect of the business, from providing client care herself to handling the scheduling and oversight of the company. Rebekah has made it her personal mission to ensure that her company operates ethically with the goal of serving Toledo's senior community with both compassion and dedication.

Our services begin with a FREE in-home or in-facility assessment of your loved one to determine a care plan. Additionally, we can administer simple diagnostic testing to determine stages of dementia. After a care plan has been determined, our staff of highly trained and carefully selected health care professionals will begin providing care for your loved one. We are locally-owned and operated; the company is licensed, bonded and insured to provide worry-free care.
