Fresno Unified School District serves more than 74,000 students, from preschool through grade 12, preparing career ready graduates through high-quality instruction, district programs and services, and resources.

Robert G. Nelson was appointed superintendent of Fresno Unified in September 2017 to lead the district. The district is governed by a seven-member board of education. Voters elect board members by area. School board elections are held during even-numbered years.
