Mission

The mission of the Fresno City and County Historical Society is to collect, preserve, interpret, and hold in public trust the records and artifacts that document the history of all the people of Fresno County and the Central Valley region of California. The Society provides its community with educational opportunities through excellence in programs, exhibits and use of its collections. The Society encourages and promotes the preservation and conservation of the community's historic and cultural resources with a commitment to an appreciation of our history and its place within our greater American heritage.
