Forest Trail Middle School

215 Wilson Street
708-668-9600

Forest Trail staff is committed to instill in our students the desire to learn and succeed. Our high expectations for students are reflected in a rigorous curriculum. Additionally, staff is skilled in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners.

The Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program served us well last year. This positive proactive approach to managing student behavior improved our school climate. For this year we have tweaked the program to best meet the needs of Forest Trail students. By teaching and rewarding appropriate behavior more time will be spent focusing on academics.

Because Forest Trail staff realizes that middle school is a time of social awareness, we offer many after school extra curricular clubs and sports activities. Participation in these helps students develop leadership skills and learn to work cooperatively with others.

We encourage parents to stay involved in their child’s education and work collaboratively with Forest Trail staff to provide students with the skills necessary to become productive, responsible, and caring contributors to society.
