The mission of Fisher Middle School is to provide the opportunity to achieve academic success in a positive school environment which will enable the unique middle school learner to advance toward becoming a productive citizen.

Because middle school students experience dramatic physical and emotional changes during this growth period, our emphasis is to provide a support system through teaming. At Fisher, we have a House Plan Organization which is divided into nine instructional teams, 3 at each grade level (6, 7, and 8). The teams teach Math, Science, communications and Social Studies. In addition to these subjects, we also offer courses in Art, Music, Health & Physical Education, World Languages, Family and Consumer Science, and Computers. Other staff members include three guidance counselors, a three-member Child Study Team, a Student Success Counselor and a Student Assistance Counselor.

Fisher has a 570-seat auditorium, an Art room, a Media Center equipped with Macintosh computers, and three Computer labs (one used as a resource lab and the others for computer instruction). In addition, we also house two Instrumental Music rooms, two cafeterias, and two gymnasiums. Athletic fields surround the school.
