About Us:

Beginning in 1914 before Vero Beach was yet a town, First United Methodist began its ministry to share the Word of God and the love of Jesus Christ in this community.  Throughout the past century we have planted churches, raised children to know Christ, served our community, supported the sharing of Christ in other lands, and discipled believers to a great knowledge of God's love and presence in their lives.  We are a living church with a great desire to serve and share our love with others.

All the activities that make up our church support this basic theme.  Whether you are in worship, in a class, or serving others - the first and most important mission is to recognize the presence of Christ in all that we do and show his love to others.  What a blessing it is to live life with a greater purpose in mind.
