We are a congregation that is part of the Presbyterian Church USA whose support, consistency and leadership provide us with the foundation and governance that is necessary. As a vital and growing congregation, we are constantly striving to live according to the example set by Jesus Christ.

Our Mission

To Glorify God through worship and fellowship, to tell of God’s grace to humankind through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ, and to respond to God’s care for the world by serving others.

Our mission has guided us to the present. First Presbyterian provides a sense of community and belonging for its members, while encouraging visitors to seek out their own level of comfort. People respond to First Church Bloomsburg because we reach out to our church family, providing a safe and spiritual haven.We have come to realize that a meaningful worship experience and knowing the love of Christ is enhanced by a sense of support and love from each other. Opportunities to continue to learn and grow in our faith are provided for every age and life stage. These include both formal Biblical discussion and more casual interpretation of life experiences. Fellowship opportunities are assisted in developing among our congregation through planned and unplanned events.
